Please remember in your prayers the repose of the soul of Father Tom Welsh sx who died earlier this week.
Fr. Tom was a native of Holy Family Parish, the son of Pat and Lizzie Welsh. After a brief career in the Post Office he entered the Xaverian Missionary Order and was ordained priest on June 25th 1977 in Motherwell Cathedral. He served in the missions in Sierra Leone and Chicago as well as at home in Preston and Coatbridge. He was Xaverian Provincial for 8 years and also National Director of Missio.
· Fr. Tom’s mortal remains will be received into Holy Family Church, Mossend on Thursday 23rd November at 6.00pm · Mass of Christian Burial will take place in Holy Family Mossend on Friday 24th November at 11.30am
