The Diocese received news today that Canon Noel Carey ad passed away at his home in Barna, Co. Offaly this morning.
Canon Carey served in Motherwell Diocese from 1953 until he retired in 2011 and served as Administrator of Motherwell Cathedral for thirty years.
Canon Carey's funeral will take place in the parish church in Shinrone in Co. Offaly on Thursday, 11th January, at 2.30 pm.
PLease pray for the eternal repose of his soul.
