Ordination of Deacon Kieran Burt

Congratulation to Deacon Kieran Burt who was ordained on Saturday 10th May to the Order of Diaconate by Archbishop Leo Cushley in the Papal Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, Rome.

Deacon Kieran was ordained alongside Matthew McCafferty of the Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh.

Ordination to the Diaconate is one of the final major steps for a seminarian before ordination to the Priesthood. Deacon Kieran will spend his final year of formation serving as a Deacon in St Barbara's Muirhead and St Joseph's Stepps before, God willing, being ordained a Priest for the Diocese next summer.
