Anniversary of Motherwell Cathedral
You are all invited to Our Lady of Good Aid Carhedral this Afternoon, Sunday 14th December, and on Monday evening, 15th December, to celebrate the Dedication of the Cathrdral and the 150th Anniversary of the Parish. On Sunday Afternoon there will be Solemn Sung Vespers with the Cathedral Choir at 5pm and on Monday we will celebrate Mass for the Dedication of the Cathedral at 7pm, in Thanksgiving also for the 150 years of Our Lady of Good Aid Parish. Diocesan Choir Carol Services
Motherwell Diocesan Choir will present its Annual Carol Service, entitled Carols by Candlelight, in three churches across the Diocese, as per the listings below. Admission to all services is free and a voluntary retiring collection will be taken up at each in aid of Mary's Meals and St Andrew's Hospice. Annual Statement on Safeguarding
Dear Brothers and Sisters, At this time of year, I send an Annual Statement on Safeguarding in the Diocese. In doing so I offer some words written recently by Our new Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV. “The Church is our spiritual home; as such every parish and pastoral activity is meant to be a space in which we glorify God and care for others, especially children and the vulnerable. In this regard I renew my appeal that there can be no tolerance for any form of abuse in the Church.
