With increased live streaming of Holy Mass and other services, the Bishops' Conference of Scotland have prepared a policy document outlining the protocols for live streaming in Catholic Churches.
Live streaming provides a valuable service to those unable to attend Church, especially with our Churches closed during lockdown, and can also be used to broadcast funerals, weddings and baptisms.
The protocols put in place by the Bishops' Conference will be of interest to clergy and laity who are involved in the provision of live streaming to ensure that parishes provide a streaming service which adheres to safeguarding and copyright procedures. Particular attention is drawn to the section regarding the use of recorded music and the requirements governing its usage.
