With regret we advise of the death earlier today of Canon Michael Walsh in Nazareth House, Mallow, Co. Cork. Canon Walsh had moved to Mallow on his retirement in 2012.
Please pray for the repose of his soul as we thank the Lord for his service as a priest in the diocese for over 50 years.

Canon Walsh also served as chaplain to Monklands Hospital in Coatbridge for a number of years.
The funeral Mass for Canon Walsh will take place in the Church of the Resurrection, Mallow, on Monday 2nd May at 12 noon.

On Wednesday 4th May at 7 pm, there will be a Mass in St. Aloysius’ to pray for the repose of the soul of Canon Walsh and to give thanks for his many years of service in the parish and diocese. Any clergy wishing to attend should advise Fr Delaney to allow him to make necessary arrangements for vestments.
There will be a Months' Mind Mass in May.
