Canon O'Mahony celebrates 60 years of Priesthood

We offer our congratulations to Canon Humphrey O'Mahony, a retired priest of our Diocese, who celebrates the 60th anniversary of his ordination as a priest today.

During his active ministry, Canon O'Mahony has served in a number of parishes across the Diocese including as curate of St Brigid's Newmains, St Ignatius' Wishaw, Sacred Heart Bellshill, St Aloysius' Chapelhall and St John the Baptist' Uddingston, and as Parish Priest of St Mark's Rutherglen, Christ the King Holytown, Corpus Christi Calderbank and Sacred Heart Salsburgh.

Since retiring in 2013, Canon has lived in St Luke's Motherwell where he has an active retirement and still serves in the Cathedral Parish, especially at St Luke’s Church where he celebrates Mass daily.

Our congratulations and thanks to Canon Humphrey for his long

and continued service in the diocese.
