Into the Margins Conference

On behalf of the Liturgy Mission and Emmaus Mission (Wellspring) Motherwell Diocese is hosting a conference to reflect on our understanding of the nature of poverty and marginalisation and to consider our continuing approaches to alleviating poverty.

This conference will take place on: 

Saturday 15th November 2025, 10:00am - 3:30pm,

St Bride’s Hall, 31 Coursington Road, Motherwell, ML1 1PP.

The schedule of the day will include catering, time for reflection and discussion and lectures from guest speakers:

• Sir Harry Burns (Professor of Global Public Health and Scottish Chief Medical Officer 2005-2014)

• Professor David Hillier (Associate Principal and Executive Dean of the University of Strathclyde Business School)
