The Diocese of Motherwell joins with the whole of the UK in expressing our sorrow on the terrible murder of Sir David Amess - may he rest in peace. We offer sympathy to those who knew him best, family, friends, and fellow politicians. We assure those who represent our communities as MPs, MSPs, and Councillors of our support and appreciation of all that they do on our behalf. We pray for their protection and hope they can carry out their duties free from any further attacks and threats.
