The Diocese of Motherwell and Maryvale Institute, Birmingham, began their partnership in adult formation with a study day on Saturday 25th January. Fifteen adults from throughout the diocese have inscribed to train as catechists.
Fr Thomas Magill, Episcopal Vicar for Mission and Evangelisation, commented: " It's wonderful to see so many people committed to and enthused by their faith, with a real eagerness to learn more and a desire to spread the Good News in service of our Lord and his Church. Today was a powerful example of the synodality encouraged by Pope Francis through which all of us walk together in our journey of faith and take responsibility for the mission to evangelise which is at the core of our Catholic belief."
