Exemplar narrative 1:

Holy Cross cluster meeting working group

-          Advent stories from the Bible were read.  Stories were split into scenes e.g. Annunciation, Visitation, Travelling to Bethlehem,  Nativity, Wise Men, Warning to the Wise Men.

-          Children then took part in the discussion and drama surrounding these themes (children particularly enjoyed the discussion aspect: very enthusiastic)

-          Children completed comic strip of the Advent story (see photos)

Assessment ideas:
Write:
Write own drama scripts to act out relevant scenes
Make:
Make heading suitable for each drama scene.
Children can complete layout sequence correctly in comic strip and show good understanding.
Do:
Research and present story of the first Chistmas crib (St Francis of Assisi)
